Mode Transport

Chris leads mode transport planning’s London office, with responsibility for delivering transport planning and engineering advice to developer clients across London and the South. He advises many of the UK’s most prominent industrial and logistics developers, supporting schemes from early site acquisition and due diligence through to planning permission, appeal, implementation and long-term operation.

With over 15 years’ experience and as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Highways and Transportation, Chris specialises in unlocking constrained sites, managing transport-related risk and shaping pragmatic, sustainable access strategies that support commercially viable development. He is particularly experienced in navigating complex planning and highways processes, providing clear, proportionate advice that balances policy compliance with deliverability.

Chris brings extensive experience engaging with local highway authorities, Transport for London, National Highways and other statutory consultees, helping to ensure transport solutions are technically robust, policy-aligned and capable of securing positive planning outcomes. He oversees the preparation of the full range of transport documentation, including transport assessments and statements, travel plans and technical evidence to support applications, appeals and the discharge of planning conditions and Section 106 obligations.

Above all, Chris is committed to building strong, collaborative relationships with clients and stakeholders, helping projects progress smoothly and realise their full potential.
